That title is enough right?
… boy it’s been a year.
Can you guess what this post might be able? Maybe you can, maybe you can’t. Maybe I’ll just throw you off… guess you’ll just have to keep reading to find out.
I promise it’s not all about the dreaded quarantine and how our worlds have been turned upside down. Cause let’s be real [that is the point about these posts right?] everyone has had hard times…
I’m currently sitting in our pool – we grabbed the 2nd to last one in March, while we all questioned what our summer was going to be like. We had high hopes that our states would lighten up and allow for a normal life style. Buttttt it didn’t start out that way. I feel very fortunate that we were able to purchase this sought after item and provide an extra summer activity for our girls! While I sit here and listen to my Audible of Rachel Hollis…
[Boy did the Hollis’ shake our world this year… but everyone has to be happy and that’s what they did, focused on THEMSELVES]
She talks about doing what you want to do and don’t put it off. I have said time and time again, that I need to get more posts done – I just put it off every time. Well not anymore. It’s one of the best ways for me to get any and all of my feelings out there and not feel bad about it! So here is to believing in myself, doing what I know I need to do, focusing on my longggggg term list of things I want to do and accomplishing the short term list now.
Despite 2020 being a complete sh*t show the first 6 months, it’s time to take a 180 degree turn [maybe even a 360 at some point]. Starting with my girls and their education… diving into the world of “homeschooling”, something I have thought about and considered for a LONG time. I only use those quotations because, there is no forcing to learn here. My girls will learn as they are ready, which has been quicker than I anticipated. So here we go… follow along if you’d like!
Next, my career. When I say career, it’s not 100% there yet, but will be. This WAS suppose to be our year – 24 to 10 events, thanks Corona. But don’t you worry! We will come back bigger, better and stronger in 2021. You just wait and see!
Regaining focus on my health and strength, not just physical – but mental and emotional too. Focusing on my circle around me, family being most important and then those that I call my friends [most know who they are, so if you’re reading this thank you]. This is important for ANYONE, you have to worry about you first. I don’t care what anyone says. If you don’t do you, how can you take care of your family? How can you worry about your list of things to do? If you aren’t in the right mental state of mind, you’ll continue to do 360’s around yourself and go crazy.
[Do yourself then favor and focus on you!]
My list goes on and on, I could ramble forever, but I’ll leave it at that for now. Here’s to finishing 2020 on the highest note possible…. starting now.
XO – Mir
P.S. I dyed my hair Rosé Gold and it was the best decision of 2020, so far.
